Anon - Ambush

Anon was running across the town square before he saw the familiar glint of a weapon. He ducked as 5 silver stars flew inches from his head. He stood in the middle of the town square, the fountain a few meters to his right and there was a reason it was called the firelight fountain. Hundreds of small candles either on the perimeter or floating on the water banished the darkness up to the nearby houses twenty meters away.
Slowly the woman came into the light and of course, Anon had to be killed by a beauty. Long brunette hair tied in bun with chopsticks through it, flawless eastern face and her armor was leather dyed black. An accessory belt containing various potions and other equipment completed the outfit.
"Of course, I was right. Still, doesn't explain how your English is flawless European."
"Daddy gave me a private education in England when I was young."
"What now?" Anon readied himself.
"Well, I poisoned the local water supply with a fast acting paralysis poison, 1 in 10 chance of being deadly but most people should recover in about 72 hours. You should see the village, in glorious chaos."
"Where's Amelia? You honored that you would leave her out of this!"
"I have, I may have told Joey that something important lay in the Underground and he went to retrieve it with Amelia following. Indirect action was allowed. And as for you, with this entire town going downhill, now's a good as any time to kill you."
She pulled out a Katana from her back and readied a throwing star. Anon flicked out his blade and readied a throwing knife.
"Can I at least know who's going to kill me?" The woman smiled.
"Sai, you can make the first move."
"Very well."

Sai was ready (230 shield 320 health).
Throwing Stars (5 damage).
Katana (45 damage).
Unknown scrolls.

Anon threw three of his daggers, each capable of 15 damage.

The first two missed but the third managed to hit Sai's shoulder guard.

Sai threw three of her own and Anon managed to return with one of his.

Two stars grassed off of his armor and tore his shirt and cloak to ribbons.
(185 shield and 275 health).
Anon managed to hit the same should guard as before and it broke off.
(200 shield -30 for armor breaking)
(170 shield and 320 health).
Sai unraveled a scroll on her belt and began an incantation.
"This is my chance." Shouted Anon. He changed Sai, throwing all the knifes he could and he readied his hidden blade.

The first five daggers hit Sai, who cried out in pain but still read from the parchment. Anon tried to stab his blade but he missed.

With the last syllable from Sai read, the ground in front of her glowed blue and a circular portal opened up. From this portal sprang numerous weapons, spears, long swords and daggers, all aimed at Anon.
"I have to use it now." Anon reached behind his back and pulled out a book, one given to him by his father.
"I know I can only use it once..."
He read through the pages, hoping he would be in time.
(Even falter, odds cast).

He failed. He was supposed to conjure a blue sphere to protect him but the pressure of the moment made him falter. He put his book away and prepared for the onslaught.
(8 of each weapon. daggers 5, swords 10, spears 15).

He was very unlucky, all the daggers hit him. His clock was now a shadow of it's former self and 3 had managed to pierce his armor, causing health damage. He struggled the prepare himself.

5 of the swords still hit him, completely tearing his cloak except for his hood and destroying his shirt. If he hadn't had his chain mail on, they would've gone straight through instead of giving him bruises.

He prepared for the final rush of weapons.

4 of the spears hit Anon. The assault broke his chain mail along his arms, legs and chest. He was now completely exposed.

Anon began regretting leaving all his healing items at home, he had been in a rush to get to the Orphanage. Sai had pulled out another scroll and was reading from it again. The portal was changing from blue to black-red.
This is my last chance He thought to himself. He crossed his arms across his chest and grabbed four knives in each hand.
"For Amelia." He whispered.

He threw all eight at his target, throwing an additional 8 and reading his blade as he again charged the target.

Sai screamed as the barrage of knives hit her. It some managed to destroy her armor and then they stuck to her. She tried to keep chanting above the pain but it was hard.
11 kives hit, Hidden bladed attacks all missed.
(Shield destroyed. 250 health).
"Heh, you think you've won?" Sai had finished chanting and a giant black-red hand shot out from the portal, it curled itself into a fist and came smashing down on Anon.
(Fist can potentially kill in once shot).

Anon had managed to doge out of the way, but the fist just rose up again and came smacking down.

The fist crashed into Anon, completely taking his breath. It crushed his bones and ruptured his internal organs. Anon now knew he was going to die.
Fist hit for 259 damage.

(Shield destroyed, 1 Health).

The pain was excruciating. This was the single most painful moment for Anon.
"No, I can't die here." He wanted to saw this but the blood had started to form in his lungs and now he was coughing hard trying to clear his airways. Sai came over, injured and holding her bloodied left arm but victorious. She readied her katana in her right hand.
"You weren't ready for me, were you?"
"W...hy?" Anon tried to say without coughing blood.
"Money, the thrill. No, this." Sai reached for Anon pendent with her katana and cut it, carefully placing in a pocket on her belt.
"This is proof your dead but also that will never know what this item is."
Sai plunged her katana into Anon's stomach. His last thought was of Amelia before the world went black.
They said there would be light. Was his thought after that.
Sai sheathed her blade and limped away from the bloody battleground leaving the ghost's body underneath the firelight fountain.
