Firelight Fountian

The main fountain in the middle of the square. Filled with hundreds of candles that never go out even in the baddest of weather, it's no wonder how it got it's name. A sight for meetings and gatherings, it's also integral for any festival held in the town.

The body of Anon lies here, bloodied and broken with the fight against Sai. The battle had only concluded a few minutes ago and the blood was still fresh. Out from the shadows emerged figure. The hood covering the person's face obscured any attempt to identify them. The figure knelt beside Anon's body and stroked his
hooded covered head.
"Not yet, my child. Your time came too early. You need to find away back." The voice was defiantly female but still you couldn't identify who it was. She placed a red pendant around Anon's neck, the same kind as Sai stole. She touched it and it glowed red instead of blue.
Anon's body reacted and started convulsing. The lady started walking away before a thin dust like wind flowed out of Anon's mouth. It made a perfect replica of before he entered battle. The replica sprang up and began to look around.
"Where am I? I was in the abyss." He looked at the woman and she looked straight back at him.
"You are now a spirit, Anon. Find away back to this world or be lost forever." She turned her back and melded with the shadows, gone just like that.
Anon smiled, he had to find a way back into his body or be lost forever.

Rushing through the people wandering on the streets, Karhrie suddenly noticed that a crowd of people were gathered around the fountain.

Curious, Karhrie went to check it out.

Pushing through the crowd, she saw what they were all looking at.

It was the dead body of a man Karhrie had never seen before. His clothes were stained in blood & around him, drops & puddles of blood were found.

"Who is he?" One asked.

"Who did this?" Another asked.

"Was he murdered?" Someone questioned.

"Has anyone ever seen this guy before?" A person wondered.

"The man is clearly a stranger!" An old woman told the crowd. "Can you not tell by his clothing? And how none of us has recognized his face? Somehow this stranger has came to our village without our knowing, and now he appears before us, murdered!"

The crowd gasped.

"Who would do such a thing?" A person asked

"What has become of Ercreia!" A woman cried.

Another wondered, "Do you think....a monster must have escaped from the-"

"Nonsense! We all know the monsters cannot leave the undergrounds! This man was indeed murdered by a person!" A doctor who had examined the body told the crowd.

"Hush you!" A person besides the doctor said angrily. "Why should you frightened the people? So much unusual events has happened here in Ercreia, and people are worried enough!"

"But I cannot lie to the people, & they're obviously wounds caused by a human!"

The man ignore the doctor and told the crowd, "The doctor has made a mistake! After further examination, the man was not murdered by anyone here in Ercreia-"

"Quinsly! Don't-"

Quinsly raised his voiced to drown out the doctor.

"- This man has killed himself."

"Suicide?" One asked.

"Yes, this stranger had killed himself."

"But why?" Someone asked.

"And why here?" Another asked.

Quinsly thought for a moment, "This stranger lived a terrible life and depression had come over him. He had ran away from society, wearing those secretive attires, & had ran through the forest, bravely, & suddenly came across our Ercreia.
And in his moments of hopelessness and fatigue, he found the light emitted from our glorious fountain heavenly, peaceful...divine. He was very weary and decided to take his life here where the light resembled heaven to him. Finally, he is now at peace. We will give him a proper burial tomorrow, to let our mortician examine him further."

The crowd seemed satisfied with the answer.
The doctor was suppressing his anger, but it showed clearly.
Karhrie was spectacle of the story.
but then she remembered a few years back, on a stormy night, there was a village teen who killed himself beside the fountain. He had been secretly living with an abusive mother.

The story resembled the story of how the stranger died & Quinsly was the town's death predictor & so far his predictions for people's strange deaths in Ercreia were true.

But this time, it seemed wrong somehow...But the crowd seemed less in fear. So karhrie did not say anything.

She left the crowd.

Sarena was wondering around near the firelight fountain because it was bright and beautiful and it lighted the night.
While admiring the fountain she saw, Aiden, the boy who she had a crush on, although Aiden didn't like her back. Sarena has been stalking him, but lately she hasn't seen him, until now.

Sarena met Aiden at school, when she was 14 yrs. old and was living at the orphanage at the time.
Aiden was popular, charming, cute, and funny. When she first introduced herself to him she was a little nervous and seemed awkward to him. She soon began to pick on him; pushing, shoving, poking, gave him noogies, and hitting him, just like a 2nd grader in love.
But he found Sarena annoying and weird. So he often tried to stay away from her and if she was near he'd run away or try to get as far away as possible from her.
But sometimes Sarena would run after him!
After she dropped out of school and ran away form the orphanage to live in a shed, that's now her home, she stills carry feelings for him, though Aiden still doesn't.

Now back to the present, Sarena hid behind the fountain and thought to herself, "Wow, it's been a while since I've seen him... And he still looks cute!" She stared at Aiden, who was his friends and they passed by her, not noticing she was behind the fountain, watching Aiden with passion! xD
He was with one girl and three guys.
Sarena thought, "I hope she's not with that girl there!"
But then she saw Aiden holding hands with the girl!
"Oh my gosh! He is with her!"
Then when they moved away from her further she ran away.

Anon waited impatiently by the fountain. He had seen the Eagle on his fence, so he had to be here. It took him a few minutes before he could hear the sounds of a string instrument over the rushing water of the fountain. Rushing to a nearby ally, he was greeted by a musician. Sitting down the musician was playing a Gu Qin, lightly tapping the strings to make them sing. The musician focused only on the music as Anon sat next to him.
"It's good to see, Rongyu." Despite having an eastern name, the man looked western. Anon tapped him on the shoulder and he stopped playing. Rong tapped around until he tapped Anon's shoulder.
"My friend, how have you been? When did I last see you, Shanghai?"
"Yeah, that was another life ago. Anyway, what brings you this far into America?"
Rong was silent for a moment.
"I hunt the Bai Lang."
"The White Wolf? Your not going to do something that I'm going to have to stop, right?" Rong shook his head.
"Not that kind of hunt. I thing I've perfected my song in order to talk to Aniu. I've heard she's around here but I've had no luck so far." At that moment was a rustling of feathers and the same eagle from this morning came gliding in and landed on Rong's shoulder.
"Easy there, Aquilia. He's a friend. Could you take me to the outskirts of the town, I have trouble navigating the winding streets." Anon stood up and with a few motions the Gu Qin was on Rong's back. He grabbed Anon's shoulder and they headed out of town.

Anon approached the fountain from the the shadows of a nearby house. As he approached he could see Serena, long flowing black and dressed in a beautiful blue dress. He was stunned from just how different and how beautiful she really was. Serena looked around until she spotted him. Anon lost his hesitation and approached her.
"How do you spot me so easily?" Serena gave a small smile as he sat down.
"I've been in so many shadows in my life, I can see right past the darkness to what is really there." Anon guess she referenced a metaphorical shadow with her parents disappearing. There was an uneasy silence between them. Then they spoke at the same time.

"I lov..." said Serena as she faltered.
"I want you to... wait what?" asked Anon.
"Nothing, you go first." Anon wasn't sure of what he just heard but... He held Serena's hands as he spoke, easily losing himself in her beauty.
"Serena, you already mean alot to me. I want you to be a part of my life, to be at my side in battle and to watch Amelia grow up. I'm just new to this, I haven't had a girlfriend for a number of years and I got burned horribly last time. But I don't think that's going to happen..."
Anon was silent for a few moments before he leaned in and kissed Serena on the cheek. Anon and Serena blushed as they both stood up.
"Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow." Anon turned to leave.
"Wait!" Anon turned back. Serena did a full circle, the long blue dress gliding along to her movements.
"Umm... how do I look?" Anon could tell she was self conscious and didn't dress up this fancy for just anyone.
"The moon's beauty couldn't compare." She turned really red and turned away, Anon took it as his cue to leave.
When Serena looked back to where Anon was and didn't see him, she walked back home with a smile on her face.
